Introductory Certificate in TEFL

THIS IS A DISTANCE LEARNING COURSE

This TEFL course is available to those who would prefer a slower start. It does not qualify you to teach. We would encourage anyone with an Introductory Certificate in TEFL to go on to the Certificate in TESOL before teaching. No prior knowledge of TEFL/TESOL is required. Fluent English, determination and a willingness to learn are prerequisites.

The course consists of 10 units which cover the basics and equip the prospective teacher with all that is necessary for a sound introduction to the world of TEFL/TESOL.

The course consists of approximately 40-50 hours of work in the following areas of TEFL/TESOL:

• study skills
• basic principles
• grammar
• resources
• reading
• listening
• speaking
• writing
• classroom management
• lesson planning

There are no exams, the course is continually assessed.

The grades for this course are:-  

• A - very good
• B - good
• C - pass

Introductory Certificate in TEFL Course Fees

COURSE ON CD-ROM and SUBMISSION BY EMAIL

£195 (Paid in full on registration)

Please note this includes all assessment fees for submission by email, course materials on CD-ROM and the INTESOL Introductory Certificate in TEFL on successful completion; there are no extras.

NB There are no extra fees for students overseas, wherever they may be, if they take the course on CD-ROM and submit work by email.

Please note: There are no set start dates. You decide when you start. The full course is sent out on acceptance of your application. Those who are eligible for the Certificate in TESOL do not need to take this course first!

If the Introductory Course in TEFL and the Certificate in TESOL are booked together a discount of £100 is applicable.
eg: £195 + £395 = £590 - £100 = £490.
